Story Behind Tree Services Erie PA Company

Erie PA Tree Service company was founded in 1997 by lifelong Erie resident, Adam Smith. Adam grew up climbing the trees in his parents’ backyard, which sparked a lifelong passion for the art and science of arboriculture.

After earning a degree in Forestry from Penn State University, Adam returned home to Erie and started working for a national tree service company. He quickly moved up the ranks due to his diligence, expertise and work ethic. But Adam felt something was missing – the personal touch and connection to community he experienced as a child.

So Adam took a leap of faith, quit his stable corporate job, and started Erie PA Tree Service company. His vision was to create a tree service that felt like family, while delivering best-in-class care.

Adam started small, with just himself, a truck and a chainsaw. As word spread of his attention to detail, fair pricing and friendly service, the company grew. Adam brought on other arborists native to Erie, many coming from families who worked at the local shops.

Today, Erie PA Tree Service employs over 15 arborists, all from right here in the Erie area. They are fathers, uncles, brothers and sons – good people who love trees and care about their community. Yes, they have the latest equipment and expertise needed to care for Erie’s urban forest. But they also have compassion in their hearts, treating every customer’s home and trees with care and respect.
